06.11 HPD Moonlight Bike Ride

Posted by Picasa Photo Gallery

Courtney and I did the HPD Moonlight Bike Ride and she got to ride the Red Rocket.  Shame this bike is being retired this weekend, and she got the last ride, but as the Phoenix, this bike will rise from the ashes later this summer in a new project bike I am sure.

06.10 2010 Trek Elite 9.9 SSL

Posted by Picasa Photo Gallery

Another day, another bike update.  So I have abandoned my Ibis Mojo Project and proeeded with my Trek 9.9 SSL Project.  After an initial investment of too much money, I have received my new frame.  2lbs 12.5 oz of pure carbon make up this rig.  Hopefully this will be completed in 2 weeks as that is my goal.

06.07 Cane Creek Goodies

Posted by Picasa Photo Gallery

After coming home from Jennifer & Kurt's Wedding in San Antonio, I was happy to find some Cane Creek goodies in my mailbox.  Peter Gilbert was awesome enough to get these out to me and some extra goodies.  The headset I ordered was a 110.ZS (Zero Stack) Tapered for my 2010 Trek Fuel EX 9.8.  It came with an FSA garbage that is actually squeaking right now.  The cool top cap is from the S100 I believe . . . 2010 Trek Remedy 8 Frameset

Posted by Picasa Photo Gallery

Last week I bought a 2010 Trek Remedy Frameset from Bob.  I met Bob through Craigslist and trusted him enough to PayPal him some bucks and let him send me the frame.  If UPS manages to get the frameset to me in one piece, it will make an awesome "All Mountain" bike.  Built up the bike retails for $3669 from Trek, and by the time I am done with this bike, I will have spent that much, give or take a few hundred.
The pictures of the frame weren't taken by me, so I can't explain the Zebra pattern, but I will get some good shots next week.

04.26 Trek 9.9 Elite - Stem Change

Posted by Picasa Photo Gallery

I managed to change the stem out on my rig today to a new white one, then I thought it looked pretty gay so I went back to the original black one.  Nothing else to see here, just gave her a good cleaning and that's about it.
